The term is deceiving - It sounds like a method used by a panel beater however,
on a microscopic level this process could be considered
the closest thing your skin
can have to a wax and polish.

Chemical Peels can be used for a wide variety skin conditions whether they for medical treatment or for aesthetic improvements. It works as the name suggests, exfoliating layers of the skin to promote the regeneration of new, healthy looking skin.

Peels are categorised into different strengths, matching the right strength with your skin type and condition is vital for the right outcome.

Peels are defined as either superficial, medium or deep. The deeper the peel the better the results but the longer the recovery.

Different types of Chemical peels include:

  • Alpha Hydroxy Acids
  • Glycolic and Lactic Acids
  • Beta Hydroxy Acids
  • Salicylic Acid
  • Retinoic Acid
  • Jessner’s Peel –  a combination of resorcinol, lactic acid and salicylic acid
  • TCA – Trichloracetic Acid
  • Phenol

Otherwise nick named the “VAMPIRE TREATMENT” this procedure involves using your own blood.

After taking a small amount of blood from your arm, it is spun in a centrifuge to separate the red cells, white cells and plasma.

A subset of the white cells (PLATELETS) are injected into the skin or more commonly, and more easily, rubbed onto the skin after Fraxel REPAIR Laser.

Platelets contain growth factors which rejuvenate the skin in their own right. When used in conjunction with Fraxel REPAIR, they turbo-charge the rejuvenation result without the need for injections.

This laser removes tiny portions of the epidermis and or dermis, which results in the regeneration of fresh new healthy looking skin.

The fraxel laser systems have revolutionized the ability of patients to SAFELY achieve skin rejuvenation not possible previously.

There are 4 fraxel systems:

Fraxel REFINE the ‘4 cylinder’
Fraxel RESTORE the ‘6 cylinder’
Fraxel DUAL the ‘V8′
Fraxel REPAIR the ‘V12′ supermodel

The more powerful the system, the more that can be achieved.

At CCS we have and love the FRAXEL REPAIR.

These lasers are used either alone or in conjunction with a “Fat Assisted Stem Cell Transfer” (FASCT) to provide the very best for skin rejuvenation.

Percutaneous collagen induction treatment uses very fine needles to penetrate the skins surface and stimulate the process of natural healing. This leads to tighter and healthier looking skin with a stronger collagen network.

“CIT” is extremely powerful. At CCS we use it both as a standalone treatment but especially in conjunction with resurfacing procedures.
